A smiling rainbow

The circumzenithal arc, CZA, is the most beautiful of all the halos. The first sighting is always a surprise, an ethereal rainbow fled from its watery origins and wrapped improbably about the zenith. It is often described as an “upside down rainbow” by first timers. Someone also charmingly likened it to “a grin in the sky”.

Look straight up near to the zenith when the sun if fairly low and especially if sundogs are visible. The centre of the bow always sunwards and red is on the outside.

Same Ground

So I went to Eastwood with family today.

We went to church there and I saw a cute girl in the pew in front of us.

I glanced at her several times and I noticed she glanced back a lot too.

I didn’t say “hi.”

FUCK!

Then we walked around.

I saw ANOTHER cute girl, we locked eyes as we passed each other.

I didn’t say anything yet again.

SHE PASSED BY AGAIN, this time we were practically STARING at each other, then she SMILED AT ME, then I stupidly LOOKED THE FUCK AWAY WITHOUT SAYING A WORD.

FUCK! SHIT!

So then I continued walking and saw a former classmate of mine on a date with his girlfriend.

I said “Hi, Anton!” out loud.

KILL ME NOW.
